As President of Mediation First, Louisville Kentucky’s first comprehensive mediation firm, Mark Stein has mediated over two thousand cases including commercial and personal injury cases, personnel matters and divorce and custody cases.
A consultant for the U.S. Departments of Justice and Education, he has facilitated the creation of mediation programs in fourteen states - including three statewide programs. As an international mediation consultant, Stein assisted the countries of the Cayman Islands - and soon, Ireland, England, Wales - to enhance their mediation efforts.
Mr. Stein is the co-author of the new book and audio-cassette, Resolving Conflict Once and For All. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Mr. Stein has been featured as a mediator on the "Oprah Winfrey Show" and has testified before the President’s Commission on the Future of Worker/Management Relations.

Jerry Brenzel has over forty years experience in the securities industry, having served as president of his own securities firm and several notable securities organizations in Louisville, Kentucky. Brenzel is a certified arbitrator through the NASD and heads the mediation effort in the securities field for Mediation First.
Christian Doeringer, a native of Germany, studied Business Administration and Management in Germany, China and the US. He gained an MBA from the University of Louisville. As a human resource generalist, Mr. Doeringer has worked for Allstate and Wal-Mart internationally. He holds a PHR certification in Human Resource Management. As a footnote to an interesting career, Mr. Doeringer also served as a police officer (the only staff of Mediation First to have a law enforcement background) for four years in Germany.
Christian serves as International Marketing Manager for Mediation First, promoting training and mediation services across the globe. He is fluent in English, German and Spanish.
Dennis Ernst, co-author of Resolving Conflict Once and For All, serves as publicist for the book and audio-cassette. A graduate of Albion College, Ernst is a free-lance writer with numerous credits. He moderates StoryTalk, an internet discussion group on short fiction and teaches writing at Indiana University (Southeast).
